Harry Kane refused to shake hands with Nigel Farage after the victory against Norway. The reason surprised everyone.

Harry Kane walked past Nigel Farage after the final whistle. The politician held out his hand; Kane ignored him.

On 11 July, England beat Norway 2-1 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Harry Kane delivered an outstanding performance. But the biggest talking point was not the result, but what happened after the match: cameras captured Kane, walking towards the tunnel, passing Nigel Farage, who was holding out his hand. Kane looked at him, did not stop and kept walking.
To understand why Kane did what he did, you have to go back a month.
In May, Kane and James Dyson announced the launch of Corvestium, an artificial intelligence-based investment platform. The project took more than a year to develop. Dyson handled the technology. Kane put in his own capital and set one condition: that the platform be accessible to all Britons.
When asked how the idea of working together came about, Dyson said: «We met a few years ago at an event in London. We talked. I told him what I was working on. He listened, asked a few questions and told me: "Show me real people this has helped". I showed him. Two weeks later he called me and said he wanted in. But with one condition: that it be for everyone».
Charity match and platform launch
The official announcement was made during a charity match at Old Trafford in Manchester. The match was played in early June, as the following week Kane had to travel to the United States to join the England National Team training camp ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Former England players, Kane's friends from Tottenham and Bayern Munich, and a team of 22 kids from schools in London took to the pitch, all wearing the special Corvestium shirt. The match drew 67,000 spectators.

Interview after the match
After the final whistle, Kane and Dyson went to the stadium's press room, where BBC presenter Gary Lineker conducted a joint interview. The chat lasted about 20 minutes.

Farage's reaction
Member of Parliament
Hours after the launch of Corvestium, Farage posted on his X account:
Nigel Farage@NigelFarageUK“The platform known as Corvestium raises concerns about its regulatory framework. From the Reform UK, we will push for a strict regulatory process for this type of financial instrument. It is the State’s responsibility to protect citizens from products that have not been properly assessed.”
Dyson responded from his account:
James Dyson@james_dyson“40,000 users. Zero complaints. Zero irregularities. The numbers speak for themselves.”
A colleague in the newsroom tried the platform
After the interview was published, we learned that one of our own colleagues had already been using Corvestium. Jack Williams, 31, a camera assistant at the BBC, joined the trial group in early May. He agreed to publish his results diary.

“The guys in the newsroom know I’m always looking for a bit of extra money. A camera assistant’s salary is what it is. When I came across Corvestium, I was one of the first to sign up. Here’s my diary, day by day, exactly as it happened.”
We asked Jack to show us the banking app.
Jack Williams shows the HSBC app with the transfers from Corvestium S.A.
“I’m not a journalist, I load equipment. But I can show my account to anyone who doubts it. Everything is transparent. Every transfer comes from Corvestium S.A. I don’t understand how the algorithm works. But I do understand that my HSBC account grows every week. And that’s enough for me.”
What people are saying about the launch of Corvestium
(Interesting AI finance project from the UK. Harry Kane involved. Worth watching closely.)

Did Kane actually ignore Farage? I thought the clip was edited, but I just watched the full video. Nigel Farage literally got blanked after trying to stop this platform. Absolutely extraordinary.
UPDATE (next day): My mate works at the Treasury. Says Farage's office has been in full panic mode since Dyson's tweet. Just registered myself. £187. If it rattled politicians that badly, there's something to this.
👍 127My wife made me watch the post-match interview with Lineker. When James Dyson explained how the algorithm works... that wasn’t an act. That was genuine confidence. Something Farage tweeted hit far too close to home for the elite.
UPDATE (2 days later): Right, I’ll admit it. I just withdrew £340 from the platform to my Lloyds account. It cleared the same day. My wife is extremely smug.
👍 93💰 WITHDRAWAL CONFIRMED
I’m one of those ordinary people Harry Kane mentioned. Working night shifts and still struggling to make ends meet. When Farage said we need "protecting" from this, I nearly threw something at the telly because that is exactly how they keep us poor.
Started with £187 five days ago. The balance reached £430. Money in my Barclays account this morning. This is completely real. Here’s proof for the doubters 👇
👍 218I work at one of the big four banks. We have access to these AI platforms internally. They’re called “institutional trading tools”, and we’re explicitly told never to mention them to retail customers. What Dyson exposed is 100% true. Kane backing it with his own money proves it.
👍 276That bit where Farage tried to say the platform needs "strict regulatory process" — that’s the elitism Kane nailed him on. Mate, the platform does everything for you. They want you to think you’re not smart enough to invest. That’s the real scam.
👍 184Single dad, two kids. Zero-hours contracts since redundancy. When Dyson talked about that mechanic from Manchester — rent taking half, the energy bill taking another quarter — I felt that in my bones. Just signed up with £187.
UPDATE (2 hours later): Lads. LADS. Just checked. £267 already. Seventeen quid in less than an hour. The government tried so hard to stop this getting out.
👍 156Three children. Universal Credit doesn't stretch far enough. Last month I had to choose between heating and food. Nigel Farage sitting in his office trying to block us from using this made my blood boil. Just registered. Please let this work.
👍 203The way the stadium erupted during that charity match. 67,000 people. That wasn't staged. That was real people fed up with being patronised by politicians like Farage. Just signed up out of pure respect for Harry. 👑
👍 167Watched the interview live. You could see how passionate Harry Kane is about this. And when Dyson mentioned the 40,000 users with zero complaints on Twitter... You could see he has done his homework. Registered immediately. Already up £470.
👍 312Did anyone else notice Farage tried to scare people on X and Dyson just shut him down with numbers? "40,000 users. Zero complaints." Absolute masterclass in not backing down to politicians.
👍 245That moment when Kane said "luck shouldn't be the only way out" — that was powerful. He knows the elites want to keep this to themselves. I just withdrew £580 to my NatWest account. Cleared in 3 hours.
👍 189📢 OFFICIAL UPDATE — post-match interview viewership
Last night's Gary Lineker interview became the most-watched post-match segment in history. 4.2 million views in 6 hours. Harry Kane and Corvestium are now trending #1 on UK Twitter. Due to unprecedented demand, registration will remain open for 24 hours only.
👍 421My husband said, "Harry Kane wouldn't put his name and reputation on this if there wasn't truth in it." He's worked in finance for 20 years. We just deposited £500. Thanks to James Dyson for having the guts to build this.
👍 134I'm 67. I've watched post-match interviews for 30 years and have NEVER seen anything like that. Kane was so sincere about helping ordinary Brits. That tells you everything. I just registered with my pension money — £187 to start. God bless Harry.
👍 298I'm a teacher, exactly the kind of "ordinary person" Harry Kane mentioned, buying classroom supplies with my own money. When he said luck shouldn't be the only way out — I actually cried. Someone finally gets it. I signed up immediately.
👍 267Electrician here. The bit where Kane talked about ordinary families — that's me exactly. Grafting constantly and still skint. Farage’s patronising tweet about "protecting citizens" made me sick. This platform might actually level the playing field.
👍 176If the platform was a scam, Dyson wouldn't have challenged everyone to look at the numbers. The fact Farage literally tweeted in panic tells you everything. Kane rattled the Treasury so badly they forgot how to be professional. Deposited £400. Let's see what they tried to keep from us.
👍 234That standing ovation after the charity match. Kids in Corvestium shirts with tears running down their faces. THAT was real emotion. These people are desperate for someone to fight for them. Kane delivered. Pure respect ❤️
👍 312Still sceptical, but when politicians like Farage panic about a platform, that looks suspicious. I deposited £187. If I really earn, I'll leave a review here!
UPDATE (3 days later): Withdrew £370 to my card. Cleared overnight. I owe Harry an apology. He really meant it, and James Dyson exposed the banks live on air.
👍 445Gary Lineker's face when Dyson explained how simple it is. He's hosted interviews for 15 years and even he couldn't believe it. "Ordinary people, from London, from Manchester." Historic television. And Kane standing there vindicated. Brilliant.
👍 387Delivery driver doing 65-hour weeks. What Kane said about the lack of tools for normal families — I felt that. The establishment is terrified of this algorithm. You could see it in Farage's tweet. Just registered. Even if it's £20 a day, that's £140 a week I don't have now.
👍 201I'm rationing heating because energy bills tripled. Dyson mentioned working people doing exactly that. Someone finally spoke truth to power. Politicians like Farage can't take it. Registered with £187 from my savings. Thank you, Harry, for fighting for us.
